CCCCO Releases Application to Participate in NextUp Expansion

On January 18, the California Community College Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) announced its intent to award Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES) program funding to up to 10 new districts, as authorized last year by Senate Bill 12 (Beall). The CAFYES program, which operates under the program name NextUpaims to to encourage the enrollment, retention, and transfer of current and former foster youth in California’s community colleges.

Any California community college district not already receiving funding is eligible to apply. The CCCCO will be hosting a webinar for prospective applicants on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. Details and applications to participate can be found on the CCCCO website.
