Stop Wasting My Time: Getting the Most Out of Your Meetings

For campus based foster youth support programs and other providers, collaboration with partners is essential to the success of the program. Much of this collaboration happens in face-to-face meetings and the degree to which these relationships add value can depend on whether the meetings are a productive and valuable use of participants’ time. This webinar reviewed the key elements that are prerequisites for a successful meeting including how to engage in effective meeting planning that creates a strong foundation for reaching your goals; critical information about group dynamics needed to maximize the success of your meetings; and how to effectively lead a group to set priorities and make decisions. While the framework for the material is primarily focused on college campus settings, the material is applicable in a variety of contexts beyond the campus environment.
