General Campus Support
A variety of programs exist to help support students to be successful.

Every campus offers academic counseling, tutoring services, transfer counseling, financial aid counseling and career counseling. Other programs are available that target specific student groups. Some of these are listed below.

Most campuses also offer a range of student clubs and extracurricular activities focused on common interests or identities.

Community Colleges – EOPS

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is offered at all California Community Colleges and provides low-income students with academic, career and personal counseling, priority registration, textbook funds, financial aid advising, transfer workshops and more.

Students must apply to enter EOPS separately from the CCC application. These programs have limited space so it’s important to apply as early as possible.

CSU – EOP

The California State University Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) serves low-income and educationally disadvantaged students. The program provides admission and academic assistance, and often financial help. EOP accepts students who do not meet regular admission criteria, as well as those who qualify for regular admission.

Be sure to indicate on your application for admission that you wish to apply for EOP. Additional application materials will be required.
